Taking Root in Bible Studies

Sundays are not the only days that we have opportunities for you to grow in your faith.  In addition to worship, small group life and Sunday School, we offer a variety of Bible studies throughout the year.

Bible Studies

We have been blessed with some really gifted teachers.  Here are some of their offerings throughout the year:

Jesse Brannen:      Our Senior Pastor's offerings include Bible 101, Methodism 101, and other studies are offered 
                           throughout the year.  These classes break for the summer and will resume in the fall at the 
                           beginning of the school year.

Lee Saunders:       Lee has taught a number of studies for us over the years, including a recent study entitled 
                           Authority in Prayer.  Lee's studies break for the summer and will also resume in the fall at the
                           beginning of the school year.

Russell Hall:          Our Associate Pastor offers a variety of studies at both campuses throughout the course of 
                            the year.  Some of those classes include The Gospel of Mark and the Letters and Travels of 
                            Paul.  Currently, Russell is offering the following two classes:

                            Discover Your S.H.A.P.E. for Ministry 
                            This 6 week class is designed to explore our spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personalities, and
                            experiences and looks at how God uses those to SHAPE us for mission and ministry in the world. 
                            This class is being offered again in 2011 during both the summer and fall months.  Keep an eye 
                                               on the bulletin and Messenger for dates, times, and registration information.  

                            Spirit and Truth: A study in the Gospel of John
                                        This class is currently meeting weekly on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. at our Aldersgate Trinity
                            Campus and is open to everyone.  We welcome new students at any time. 

Jeff Branick:          Jeff is another one of our gifted lay teachers and he offers a variety of short term Men's Bible and
                            book studies.
