Get in the Flow of Ministry

We invite you to explore the following opportunities for ministry within the walls of our church:

Music and Artistic Ministries:

Praise Team - This team of musicians and vocalists leads our 9:00 a.m. service in worship every Sunday morning.  They meet every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. for practice.

Chancel Choir - The Chancel Choir leads our 11:00 a.m. service in worship every Sunday morning.  They meet every Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. for practice.

Jubilee Handbells - This group of musicians performs at varying times throughout the year and practices at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings.  We dream of having a full 5 octave Handbell choir and invite you to come ring with us and help us accomplish our dream!

Praise in Motion - This is our liturgical dance team.

Technical Arts Team - this team manages the sound and video booth at the varying services.  From running the sound board to operating the computer (keeping the projected images moving on the screens), this team is a vital component to each of our worship experiences.

Resourcing

The Good Book - This is our bookstore that is open currently on Sunday morning's and on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m.  We offer an assortment of reading and study materials in addition to some gift and specialty items.  In addition our assortment of new items, we also handle "gently used" books and appropriate donations are always appreciated.  We are always looking for persons willing to open and close the bookstore, especially as we move to being open and available before and after all of our new worship services.

Nurturing Ministry Teams

Connecting Ministries - This team serves as a bridge to get new members more involved and connected to our family of faith.

Grief Ministry - The primary purpose of this team is to help our members in times of loss and mourning.

Homebound Ministry - This team cares for our members that are unable to attend functions at the church due to health or other circumstances.

Hospitality Team  - This is our "front-line" team that handles all aspects of welcoming our guests and our members to our church home.

Christian Education

Christian Education Ministry Team - This team serves to plan and implement the education opportunities for our church.

Communications Team

This team is involved in everything communications oriented as it relates to the UM Temple.  From the production of our quarterly magazine (the Template) to the development and maintenance of our website, this team serves to communicate the mission and vision of the Temple to our church family and the community around us.

Sports and Fitness Team

Lead by personal trainer and licensed nutritionist Jamie Albritton, this team handles everything from health and fitness classes to group sports and activities.

Leadership Teams

There are a number of opportunities to serve in the leadership of the church each year.  These places of service range from finance to building management, worship planning to personnel, and a host of other possibilities for you to use your God given talents to minister within the walls of the Temple.
