Get in the Flow

We believe that it is only natural, that as we grow in our love for God, our hearts become more atuned to His and we begin to feel called to care about the people and the things that God cares about in deeper and deeper ways.  As this growth continues to take root, we begin to recognize gifts that God has given us so that we may share in his work here on earth.  As we step into the places that God is calling us to, both inside and outside the walls of the church, we Get in the Flow of what God is busy doing in the world around us.  More simply put, to Get in the Flow is to get behind God, following the Holy Spirit, and co-laboring with Christ to bring about wholeness to a world that is hurt, broken, and in need.

We believe that this happens in two distinct ways.  First, we are each called to Get in the Flow of Ministry.  Simply put, we each have gifts from God that are designed for service within the Body of Christ.  As we Get in the Flow of Ministry, we are using our God given gifts to serve those that come through our doors for worship, spiritual growth, and nurture.  Second, we are each called to Get in the Flow of Missions.  Just as God has gifted each of us with graces to care for those within the walls of the church, God has also gifted each of us with what we need to reach outside the walls of our local building and serve a world that is in need.  That is what it means to Get in the Flow of Missions; simply serving those who are in need as we are directed by the Scriptures.

Here at the United Methodist Temple, we are blessed to be a blessing to others.  We have the resources, gifts, graces, and opportunities for everyone to Get in the Flow in both ministry and missions.  We invite you to pray how God would use you as a vessel of his mercy and grace both inside and outside our walls.  We also invite you to explore how you too might Get in the Flow here at the Temple!
