Our holistic approach to ministry here at the United Methodist Temple causes us to look towards growth in every area of our lives. This means that throughout the year, we offer a wide variety of other classes and learning opportunities. Take a look at what is being offered in the year to come:
No Fear - Computer Classes
Through our partnership with Mustard Seed Ministries of Tyler, we are able to offer free beginning and intermediate computer training classes. Our beginning classes offer an opportunity to learn basic computer operation, Microsoft Word, internet usage and safety, and how to work with peripherals (digital cameras, phones, flash drives, etc.). Our intermediate class takes a deeper look at Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
All of our computer classes are free of charge and take place at our Aldersgate Trinity campus. Beginning classes are offered on Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Intermediate classes are offered on Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. Each class runs for 4 weeks and you are welcome to repeat as many times as you like.
To reserve your place, please contact Kelly at the Aldersgate Trinity campus office by calling (409) 985-8861.
Christian Women's Job Corps (C.W.J.C.)
Through our partnership with New Beginnings Ministries, we are able to offer an opportunity for women to move from dependency to self-sufficiency. C.W.J.C. offers classes in life skills, Bible study, computer training, finances, life enrichment, resume writing and more choices in a diverse curriculum.
C.W.J.C. just began their spring session (Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m.) and will be scheduling summer and fall classes as well.
All evening C.W.J.C. classes take place at our Aldersgate Trinity campus and offer a meal and have child care available upon request. For more information or to register for one of these classes, please contact Kelly in the Aldersgate Trinity office (409-985-8861).
Christian Men's Job Corps (C.M.J.C.)
Also available because of our partnership with New Beginnings Ministries, we are able to offer this opportunity for men. This course is designed to teach life skills, resume writing, what employers want in an employee, leadership skills, anger management, Bible study, finances, and computer skills all through a needs assessment class to facilitate life enrichment.
C.M.J.C. also just began on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. (there is still time to join in!) and will be offering summer and fall sessions as well.
Keep an eye out for more information once our fall classes are scheduled!
All classes offer a meal and have child care available upon request. For more information or to register for one of these classes, please contact Kelly in the Aldersgate Trinity office (409-985-8861).
